Terry Bullard makes the best traps but the guy is damn near impossible to deal with. Doesn't communicate well if at all and his shipping costs were almost twice the cost of a trap. Not to mention he doesn't like to answer emails or respond to that stupid quote system on his website hes so proud of coding. But they are the best traps and they catch more crawfish than any other trap out there.

8/2/2012 8:03:00 PMHortus dude... You should do a Google Maps search using, Northeast 50th Street, Redmond, WA. Right around that point.. there is a walk down street that goes to the Samammish slough. There is a small dock where kayakers launch, etc. I have seen many crawfish in this spot, as well as they are known to be all throughout the slough.
Of course,, if you have a strong constitution/gut, etc..... the ship canal in Fremont is loaded with them as well. But those ones come loaded with heavy metals as well I'm sure.

I forgot to mention in my post, as far as bait goes I am getting it from H-mart. If you are not familiar with it, it is a large scale Asian grocer behind the Alderwood mall. They sell all parts of the fish for very reasonable prices. I bought heads and trim for $6 total weight 3 lbs= 3 trapping trips or $2 a trip.
I understand the price per lb for crayfish is $8-10 per pound, a net of $6-8 per catch sounds good to me.

8/24/2012 6:30:00 PMHortus, This post is a little late, but Mchill is absolutely correct about Terry Bullard's traps. I have four of his commercial traps and believe they work great. He's an odd kind of guy though, but I did receive my traps. It's almost as if he'd rather write about crawfish than actually sell his products. I dunno...doesn't matter as long as you get your traps. If you're into a road trip, Buffalo Lake is slam full of crawfish...scary full as in don't go wading. LOL
