7/30/2012 4:38:00 PMCongrats and awesome job with getting the kids into Pike Fishing! I too owe AJ's Dad a BIG Thanks for showing my Son and I the ropes with the Chain Lakes to where I was able to get my Son into his first Pike as well!!! It is always a 5 Star Day when the Kids get to have fun with the Old Man! Good Luck with slowing Little Man down now, mine is still on Cloud 10 from catching his back in June. Tight Lines, good luck, maybe we will see you and the kids out on the Chain in the near future!

7/30/2012 10:14:00 PMKevin...as for Curlew, I would absolutely love to make a trip to Curlew, but not sure that I'm going to be able to pull it off. Not only would I love to fish Curlew, but I am a huge fan of night fishing and if I recall correctly that is the overnight tournament right? And Nate...that is awesome that your boy caught his first pike as well! My boy cracked me up after...he thinks he is the pike slayer now so he told me he's ready to move on and catch a LMB and Tiger Muskie, lol. I got tired of chucking big musky lures the other night and boated 22 LMB by myself in 2 1/2 hrs night fishing...despite all that action, its just nothing like putting a toothy fish in the boat so I'll definitely be steering him to the Tigers, lol. When I was trying to get a photo of one it snapped its head and ripped 2 fangs through my thumb so my boy got to see blood all over my hand, the boat, etc.....he definitely got a taste of the excitement of catching those guys with that little episode. (and as you can see, he is smarter than his dad too as he wanted to use the fish gripper to hold the head for his pic :) )
Hopefully the fishing stays good for when you guys come back over this direction
