Fished the lake for Largemouth and landed one small (6") one on the North side of the lake using a top water Pop-r at about 9:00pm. Bass fishing has been slow for the last two seasons.
The upside to this lake (and I live on it so I get to spend a good amount of time out on the water) is that there are a ton of perch in the weeds and it makes for great fishing fun for kids. Fish the 8-10' area at the rock marker in front of the park. Anchor and use a small piece of worm (they will steal anything more). In 1 hour spent with my nieces on 6/6 we caught and released 48 perch ranging from 6" to 11". At one point we had 3 on at the same time. The kids are now addicted to fishing!
Have fun and stay safe.
