Started fishing from my float tube around 5pm, fished until about 7pm, landed two nice, fat rainbows - measured in at 12". First one was caught 200 yards straight out from the public fishing dock, second one was caught on the west side of the island up against the lily pads. Had alot of other bites, lost my favorite olive wolly bugger. Went for dinner and came back around 8:30pm when the wind had died down and the sun was getting low. Lots of fish rising, mostly small - looked to be 6"-8", some bigger. I think I will go back tomorrow around 8pm and hang out for the feeding frenzy and try to catch some on a dry fly. The bugs were black, roughly size 16-18 and had 4 wings and two long white feelers. Not sure what they were but I have a couple patterns that should do the trick. About 14 people fishing from the dock - quite comical to watch. Most were using heavy weights and power bait. Funny thing is I didn't see one person land a fish.
