Went to Angle Lake for an 4th of July party at my wife's aunt's house. After a few hours of chatting with relatives, the wife and I took one of their boats out to see if we could get into some fish. We parked the boat over a sunken log and started dropping micro jigs with worms and maggots. Almost instantly, we started hooking up on little Rock Bass. Almost every one seemed to prefer the maggots over the worms. After about an hour of fishing, I had pulled in 6 of these little buggers, only be be outdone by the wife, who had 7. The largest of the fish caught was only about 8", but we did spot one a few times having a staredown with our jigs that was pushing 13".

When we got back to the dock, I decided to keep fishing, and started casting a worm and maggot on a #8 hook with a splitshot. Almost every cast yeilded either a small Yellow Perch, or a little baby Bluegill.

All in all, it was a great day out on the lake, especially since I've never fished Angle before.
