Got out to Omak Lake again. Just had a few hours to kill in the afternoon and thought we'd try the same stuff as last time. Walked out with our limit in 3 hours. Biggest being 3 pounds 7 ounces. We also lost a few fish that felt like pulling up bricks.

South area of the lake still seems to be hot. Although this time around we trolled up halfway up the lake on the east side varying our depths from 60 to 150 and getting hookups randomly. Hot item was again the 4" kingfisher lite spoon in chartreuse . Also ran the blue one on the other downrigger and it caught a handful of fish as well. Speeds of 1.9 - 2.5 worked for us. Sometimes sharp zigs zags or bumping the speeds up or down would trigger hits. Found a massive rock only a few feet underwater on the south end. Hooked 3 fish in that area and probably could have pounded it for a while but we were also out enjoying the beautiful weather.

Saw a couple float tubers on the south end launching from the beaches there. I'd love to know how they're doing.

You're getting that lake dialed in, I would say.

Hey fishenfreak. For me I feel they taste average. I've yet to have one come out of there that tastes bad but I've definitely heard the rumors just like you. We smoked up this batch up, I felt they came out pretty good.
