Great dray of fishing at Martha on Thursday. Between three people, we just about limited out. Right when we got there, two were in the boat from bottom fishing directly in the middle, straight out from the boat launch. Trolling didn't get us any hits. Maybe one. I don't remember. Nothing was landed though. South side of the lake was pretty slow, only bringing in one little rainbow on the southeast side.
Went back over to the northwest end, and started rippin lips. The average size of the 'bows we were landing were around 17". Some were lazy, some were fighting hard.
I tried a 4" pumpkinseed plastic by the lily pads on the northwest side. Had a couple hits on a texas rig, and was seeing little trout following it in on every cast. Didn't catch anything though.
There was also a little pile of perch in the bushes near the launch. I guess someone caught them and didn't want em? But I guess there is perch in there too.
