Nothing like breaking up the work week by going fishing so up to Eloika we went to do some more bassin! Got to the launch @ 6:00 pm and only 2 folks in kayaks were there! Saw that the south end of the lake wasn't too bad as far as the weeds but ended up using the trolling motor anyways, didn't want to chance using the main motor. I was actually surprised to catch a few quality fish in and around the lilly pads. I used a black purple 8" zoom trick worm (thanks Bill) and a black n blue jig n craw. Had a couple blow ups with a top water frog but couldn't set the hook. May give it a go a couple more times before the weeds get too bad, happy fishing everyone!
