On the water at 0515 and located a very weak thermocline. Last week I ran a temperature survey at 20 foot intervals and most were in the low 60s down to 80'. Kept the downrigger in or just below the zone. Never got "bites", just two good strikes and pulled a 10" and a 15". Finally got the skunk off my new Jared Johnson! Tried to entice some of the deeper meter marks without success. The kokes are scattered, but if you keep hammering you can get a few. The prisoners-of-war were taken between Silcox and the county/city launch at 27 to 32 feet.
On the way back to the WDFW launch, a RB jumped on the hook (yuk!) and I was forced to keep it as it was hooked near the eye and bleeding. That's OK 'cause I have friends that love RBs.
