Great fish Todd!! I haven't caught one that big this year. I usually catch the smaller ones at Benson.

Benson is such a great lake to fish. Crystal clear water, and one of the biggest low land lakes I've seen that prohibits outboard motors. I asked one of the home owners that was out on his dock how such a ruling happened. He said that a petition was passed around to all the home owners on the lake. Most were aware of how crazy it gets on Mason Lake just down the road. So the overwhelming vote was in agreement. They then submitted it to the state, and the state agreed. I've said it many times that if I could choose one lake to live on it would be Benson lake.

Nice fish Todd! I too am a Benson Lake fan. I was fishing it before the no outboard motor ban. Back then it also had a very steep launch ramp that was almost a challenge to launch my bass boat. That lake also holds the record for me for getting broke off. Was broke off about 4 or 5 times by lunker bass before I started using Power Pro braid.
