I didn't want people to think I was not fishing Sprague at all, due to my report on bass.

When we arrived I was told that the trout had been hitting pretty well early in the day. They were trolling with spinners and the like, tipped with a little worm. This is how I reported it, but for us, well we stopped and power baited for about an hour between our attempts for bass.

I hit a 7 pound bow and my friend caught a 14" bow. Nice fish, especially for just a short time.

After sunset we trolled a little and had several short hits, but our day was done. Still, two nice fish, short amount of time, it rated the 4.

the lake had the most trout put in any lake in years but the all die the year after . except the 200 fish caught since.
