Fished Morning and afternoon bites. Took off from the boat launch on the south end of the lake nearest the dam and trolled the east side. Ran a variety of setups from gang trolls to dodgers with wedding rings, dick nites, triple teasers, and mini squids, even tried using worms. Used leaded line to get down deep and ran nice and slow. This was my first time fishing Baker since I was a kid and was dissapointed with the results. We switched out gear often and changed depths many times. The most action we saw was trying to save our gear after snagging on something near the bottom! There are many hidden dangers under the water at Baker lake. If you've ever been there during the winter when the lake is empty you'll know what I mean. We talked to a local who fishes there often who told us to run up north and try there, of course, with no luck either.
We fished the seep lake for some casting fun and managed to pull out a few small fry but nothing to write home about. The water was nice and clear and I could tell the more mature fish weren't interested in the bait I was using.
