I haven't hit bitter since about Feb. so I got a couple hours in between 1630-1900. Was fishing as usual from my float tube, targeting large mouth. Worked my way casting towards the lilly edge and docks going from the park launch around the lake ccw. I was throwing my usual wacky rigged 5" Senkos. Usually I use very dark colors, but considering the recent sewage issue in the lake, I decided to go with "Earth tones" I had a follow to the tube, and a hit from a dink largie. Then a long period of nothing. While I was at the far end of the lake I was able to see what I'm sure is the carp or Koi that I saw for the first time last year. It is white, so that is why I said possiblly a Koi that someone let go, but then who knows there enough carp out there in most of the urban lakes, they may come in White as well. This thing is really big, I'd say 6-7lbs at least. Anyway.... picked up 2 dink largies at just under 1lb. The rock bass are definetly active now. Lots of action from them, but they are a nuicance when you want to see the largemouth.
Lots of plunkers of the bank this time, about 1/2 doz. (On a more serious note, there are no signs posted about water quality/sewage spill) things seem to be back to normal.

ilvcassidylake... Sorry man, I didn't understand if you are asking a question, or making a statement? (It really isn't a carp lake, but there is one very large carpish/koish white fish roaming about the past two years.

Wow, a coi? I wonder was it's eating to live. Good job on catching the largies, quad. I have yet to catch my first LMB this season.

N E 1 Fission,, Really? that is interesting, not a lake that has got them before. I will say that usually there is only 2-3 bait fishers on the shoreline. On this night there was at least 6-7. Also, I never pay ANY attention to trout fishing in Bitter. It is strictly a planter lake, and until this year, never Trips. Although this time I saw 3 fish either slapping at bugs on the surface or rolling over, etc. You never see any activity from the stocker trout in Bitter. Maybe this was a few of the triploids.

From WDFW website: Echo Lake was a joke, combat fishing, I just assume they planted by the number of people there, no available parking,..
