This is just a follow up report to my Scootney Res outing with my good buddy Roger Mineard aka: pacbassman for all you walakers crappie addicts. His report was very well written and he didn't leave out a thing. I can add if you have good electronics, you can use your graph to locate fish on a tough day like we had. I have a Lowrance 320 C color graph on my Jon boat, and it awesome for locating fish in just about any conditions. Most of the crappie we caught today were suspended in a classic post spawn pattern. The lunar tables also predicted the bite times perfectly. We used our GerMin Custom Lures 2" smoke/chartruse tail DamZel Nymphs fished on 1/16th oz. jigheads to scratch out a respectable stringer of slab crappie. We cast those jigs along deep drop offs and targeted suspended fish that showed up on the fish finders screen. Feel free to check out GerMin Custom Lures on Facebook or Email Jiggy at dobberdeluxe@yahoo.com for info on the Damzel Nymph jigs that have caught so many huge crappie this spring. Good luck brothers. Jiggy
