Too much action!!!

I decided to sleep in today and didn't get to the fishing bridge until 1000. I arrived to sunny skies and a crowded parking lot. I saw a few fish caught while walking to an open spot (plenty of room, surprisingly) so I figured that was a good sign.

In the next 20 minutes I landed my 5, had lost one, and missed 3 others... almost not worth the 1.5 hour drive one way, but a lot of fun.

This is great news!! I'm playing on heading up there this weekend with my Dad, brother and our boys for some father's day fishing. Sounds like we should have some luck by the bridge.

I've been having good luck on salad shrimp, but I really don't think the bait matters. If you're going this weekend make sure you get there early as it crowds up fast on weekends

Thanks for the advise yooper. I have a boat so was thinking about trolling the area by the bridge.

I know what a long drive that is, but I'm sure limiting out fast is preferable to a slow day, nice report. Bob R
