Arrived at 10:30 and got a late jump. There were three locals fishing the two stick ups close to the south end of the lake-all limited in short order. Had envy.

Tried rooster tails, wedding rings, dick nites and everything under the sun. Nothing for about an hour. Fed up, rigged slip bobbers and set them for the 20 to 25 foot deep thermocline. Magically, I caught my limit on orange power bait trout nibbles in about 80 minutes. All were at least 12 inches with two at 16. Very nice fishing.

Went drop shot for bass near ledges on east side of lake. Caught one at about 1.5 pounds and another dink. Not exactly awesome, but the LMB action is starting to pick up. Should be able to top water fish for them soon.

Weather was windy at first with some rain, but not terrible. Still fished the entire time. Trolling has never been fun for me, so it's nice to know I can be just as effective as the trollers on the lake and stay out of their way. This lake is a real treat!

Cheers!

Way to be thorough and persistent! I've spent hours and hours trolling that lake with no luck so I did the same. Just anchored out where they were jumping, pretty much straight out from the boat launch and fished power bait about 4-5 feet off the bottom and limited, no problem. Well done.
