Fished Offut from about 2:30pm-7:30pm and the fishing was spectacular. It started of slow my friend and I trolled for about an hour with wedding rings and night crawlers and only landed one small fish, about 8 inches. We decided to drift with an orange powerbait and night crawler combo, it worked very well I boated a fat fifteen inch rainbow. Probably weighed 2 and a half pounds, it was chunky. The action was great after that for about 20 minutes, then things died down. After about half an hour of no bites I tried a bobber with either a very little amount of powerbait, as to not float to the surface, or powerbait and half a worm. The fish began to hit again and we limited out. The fish seemed to be all at the top of the water. Back at the boat launch there was a gentleman with an eighteen incher he caught on a white fly of some kind.
