After a week off from fishing it was time to head up to Eloika one more time before the cabbage gets too bad. Got on the water around 1:00, started off in the shallows and hit some of the cat tail edges and lillies for about an hour and picked up a couple dinks with a purple lizard. With the water temps in the upper 60's I figured maybe the bigger fish were a little deeper and I was right, picked up some decent fish in about 9' of water as evident by how dark these fish are, used a 3/8oz black & blue jig with a black & blue wave worm craw trailer. Boated 9 fish total, the biggest at just over 5 lbs with the top 3 in the pics. Another great afternoon of fishing!

Nice fish! I've seen some of your post and you on the lake but i didn't want to bother you and your wife. I was the other guy fishing with my dad in the purple shirt.

They should change the name of that lake to liv2fish Lake. Maybe a big sign at the boat launch that say's "Jim was here".

Nice going! With Eloiks choking out, you better head for Long Lake.

Ha! Your funny Mark, I think we all know this is Craig's lake, I'm just borrow it! The other reason I'm fishing Eloika allot is the gas prices, it's the closest lake for us, with Loon second, so we've been hitting them both quite a bit, just staying close to home and having a blast catching bass! We were up at Long Memorial day weekend but didn't make it up past Suncrest, water was still flowing pretty fast at the Fort Spokane launch and didn't want to spend the gas to go up to the DNR, maybe another week or two...
