I arrived at the dam off U.S. 12 at 0700 with landlocked coho on the brain. There were only 3 other people there, which I thought was bad news, but while I took a quick walk I saw 2 bites. I settled in on the rocks close to the dam and rigged up a slip bobber with half a crawler and gulp corn about 11' below. Within the first 90 minutes I had 3 fish in the cooler, lost one, and missed about 7 (they were biting lighter than normal, if you can believe that). After 0830 the bite slowed down. I left at 1030 with my limit, having missed about 6 in that 2 hour period.

The fish are def bigger than they were a month ago and still around. The bite isn't as good as before, but there are just as many, if not more, jumpers. I should also point out that in the time it took me to get my 5, I only saw another 5 caught by others. I don't know if I had the spot, the bait, or the depth, but the fish are def there if you can convince them to bite.

Nice fish and photo, they may be getting harder to catch, but another month and they will run even bigger! The slip bobber at depth prob. did it, most wouldn't go the extra effort, really paid off from the sound of it. Thanks for the report, bob r

I shouldn't complain with 5 fish in under 4 hours. After I cleaned them, the bigger 3 had nice orange, almost red meat. The 2 smaller ones had pale orange, almost white meat. The worms in the gut cavity that I saw earlier in the year were almost non-existant

also, thanks bob! The one guy I talked to was fishing at 10' and I told anyone that asked what depth I was fishing.
