Had a little time and figured I would get out and see if I could finally get a kokanee in the boat. Had my suzuki stolen off my boat the other night so was pleased to see the lake was glass as I only had my electric. Used wedding ring tipped with maggots and ran one of the downrigger and flatlined the other. Did not take long to get one on but turned out to be a peamouth. Ended up catching quite a few of them, but did manage to get my first kokanee ever as well. Marked a ton of fish and finally got one of the marks to bite!! It was nice size and fought like a champ on ultralight tackle. I now see why so many people love to catch these fish.

Nice, try using white shoe peg corn by green giant straight from the can. Red is my go to color for this lake and some pink. Triple teasers in chrome smooth and hammered and brass with red work good too. Ive also found that they bite better at first light. Tight lines
