We've been fishing Lake Washington for carp this past week and it's been a lot of fun! As the weather has warmed up the fishing has just gotten better and better. These fish are so much fun! They put up a great fight.

They are biting on corn weightless on the bottom. We chum up the water to get them eating, and then throw the bait in with it. There are some big fish out there.

We did get one on a fly, a brass eyed salmon fly, but it's not as easy to get them to bite them. The trick is stealth and patience. These fish can really pull! The neat part is when the other fish follow your fish around. As you can see in the picture, we still have some larger fish to hook!

Looks like log boom. I was down there the other day and saw some carp swimming, but only had my bass gear on me.

Saw you catch that guy yesterday. I was out on the dock beating the water for bass.
Saw some carp cruising the dock in the shallows-- No bass for me yesterday.

Great photos Nate. Especially that stealth carp in the 3rd photo, not the one being dragged in.

Really neat! Looks like a couple different species, linear carp and common carp.

I caught a big ( for me, about 7 or 8 lbs.) carp while fishing for trout in quincey, on an ultra light rod those fish are extreme fighters, like hooking a tank. Great report, great photos.I like the species I.D.,schu7498 .bob r

awesome! I've been very interested learning all the euro-carp stuff I've been watching, and was a bit disappointed that there weren't that many reports for carp here. Now I know I ain't alone! What kind of rig were you using?
