Well I went into this lake having high expectations and was sorely disappointed. Had bites and bumps but just couldn't get the fish on the hook. This lake was rehabilitated in 2007 then planted with cuttroats and triploid eastern brook. Fished from about 3pm until around 7pm. The occasional fish would slurp bugs from the surface and I found an area which I felt the fish were concentrated in, just couldn't get them to bite. Wind was blowing through the valley pretty quickly so my Dad being in a canoe didn't really have a fair chance to catch fish. My pontoon was pretty comfortable and I kept having the feeling, just another 30 minutes... then the bite will be on.

I'll get around to trying this lake another time. Now that it's on the list of lakes hopefully we'll get some more people posting experiences here cause I know I could use the help, hah.

There was a group of three people fishing the shore and they walked away with two fish between them. Looked like they were bait fishing, worms or something.

Mosquitoes got me a few times, they're pretty bad right now. I'd hate to see how bad it is when the wind isn't there.

Have you tried Spencer just down the road to loomis? Brushy, but full of Brookies. Good Luck

No I haven't, I've never heard of Spencer Lake and it's not in the state pamphlet, is it privately owned or anything? I'd love to know more about it.
