Went out with my daughter to catch a few trout because I heard they were biting pretty good. And actually caught 6 between the both of us. Then decided to head to shallow water just to see if I could spot a bass or two on their beds and sure enough spied a good size fish. Grabbed my rod and tossed a green tube at it a couple of times with no luck. On the fourth cast I got it out in front of the fish and swam it right on by and sure enough it turned and gave chase. I watched it inhale my tube about 12-15 feet away from the boat and I slammed him. This was my first bass of the season so I was totally stoked! Hope to get back at it in the next few days.
