HI Guys
Headed up to Priest Lake this week and did some Mackinaw fishing with Mike Duffey from Spokane. We had rain and wind to greet us at the lake during the morning. Come lunch time the weather started to improve and so did the bite. We caught fish on streamer fly's and plastic squids from 30 feet to 100 feet deep . Green was the color of the day trolling dodgers off the down riggers. Mike caught a 39 incher towards the end of the day and we came home with 8 in the box. It's sad to hear the Idaho game dept. is looking at removing the Mackinaw out of Priest Lake . Priest can produce some world class Mackinaw fishing.

You can contact the IDGF online and express your feelings on the removing the Macks in Priest Lake. They are concerned about the Bull trout , West slope cut throat . The Kokanee seem to be doing well, from what I have heard from local people living on the lake. Thanks for asking, would hate to see this lake fishing go away. We have lost good fishing on Couer d Alene and Pend O. lake from over manging.
