I arrived at wilderness around 1800 to partly cloudy skies, and a little wind. I was surprised at how few people were out for a nice Saturday afternoon, but I'm not complaining. I started trolling across from the boat launch in 25'-30' of water, 12' down. I was using my usual 4/0 silver dodger with a red and silver wedding ring tipped with shoepeg and pink fire corn. Within 10 minutes I had a nice chubby 12" kok in the cooler, then nothing for a half hour. Finally, another 11" kok in the boat, and dead again.
I was marking most of my fish 16'-20' down and tried all depths from 7'-20', but the only bites I could get were at the 12' mark for some reason.
I left at 2000 with the two koks, and missed one other bite. All in all, not a bad couple hours of trolling.
