So I dragged my dad out for some good old lake fishing on my 10ft Jon boat . We arrived to silver lake in peirce county and trolled the lake once and landed a nice 16" stocker trout . Went around the bank to see if I could spot any bass and nothing so we headed up the road aways to kapowsin and my dad caught a small dink and a rock bass . A few other anglers were in search of bass today . Some got lucky and some did not . Right now kapowsin bass fishing is pure chance . There has yet to be a pattern for fishing this lake . Atleast that I know of . All the trout fisherman were doing good so atleast that big waste of a prime bass lake is producing some kind of catchable species although it is stocked... Also on the way home we stopped to our secret spot and caught 3 beautiful natural cutthroats near mt.rainier . Everything is always C&R mostly bass ! It's hard enough for them to survive in this environment so give the fish the benefit of the doubt . Keep your lines tight folks and obey the boating rules before it results in the water becoming our battlefield. ;p
