Extremely windy conditions with an occasion drop or two of rain, fishing from a Cumberland float tube I caught a beautiful 14" Brook Trout and several smaller Tiger Trout. Fish were finicky all morning with very few hits at all, but I could see them on my Hummingbird fish finder. They seemed to congregate mostly next to the Lilly pads. Later in the afternoon around 1pm-2pm the activity on the lake increased and if you were fly fishing you would have done well by the public dock or closer to shore as I noticed lots of fish going for the surface bugs. Overall summary for the fish behavior - they liked slow movement, no power bait or worms, Meps or other fancy spinners. The water was only 56 degrees and deep (26 feet just off the public dock) but the fish were not swimming deep (only 16 feet down), so bottom fishing wouldn't have helped you. I gave this lake a 4 because it is/was much more challenging to fish. I dislike a lake where all you have to do is slap on some power bait and catch your limit in 30 minutes. If you would like to be challenged you need to fish this lake in poorer weather conditions.
