Tried lotsa lures here, trolling. Short strikes here and there on spinners and spoons. Finally decided to tip a Tasmanian devil with a bit of a GULP worm (tan). Within 5 minutes, fish-on. and again. Mostly 10-12 inch hatchery trout. Spinner with GULP worm outproduced spinner w/powrbate (Name changed to protect um...Burkly). As I fished, I tried this & that. This worked best: swivel and one or 2 split shots; then a long leader (6-8ft) of 4 lb test. And a plain hook with a thin tan GULP worm. Gulp indeed. I outfished a buddy and a jerk 7-1; 1 was using a spinner, the other eggs on bottom, both with 10-12 lb line. Key elements: long leader, light leader, midwater (maybe 10-20 ft down). Worm lost its flavor after 10 minutes or so. Adding an egg or crave to the gulp worm helped.
