After spending the afternoon up at Sacheen (still 5 mph no wake, was our first time on this beautiful lake) catching a dozen dinks we decided to leave early and stop by Eloika for some evening bassin, good choice. Got to the launch @ 5pm and folks were just starting to come in. Started to hit some of the east side lillies first and pulled in a couple small one's. Then went across to the west side and fished some of the lilly pads and cat tail edges and pulled out a couple there too, including this 7.4 lber! Noticed she was full of eggs so we did a quick photo and let her go. We then headed over to the south side lillies and picked up and lost a couple, ended up with only 8 in the boat. Ran into Wa laker Pat Perez over in the south end lillies, was great to meet you Pat! Another great day of fishing!

Nice fish Jim, try any top waters? Hey i think i saw you there at Eloika last tuesday. You just launched your boat and haded towards Jerrys Landing and i was in my 12 aluminum with another guy and i kinda cut you off and you went between us and the bank. It looked like you and your wife. I was using jiggys handmade jigs he send to me and i was killing the crappie and small bass with them. Did not catch and big bass that evening though? Was that you?

Hey Tim, yep, that was us. We were headed towards the north end lilly patches. I haven't tried any topwaters yet, seems like the water is kinda low, I'm used to tossing a frog in the lillies but this year the pads seem pretty high!
@ dabears-No sinko's, to expensive, I use Zoom Finesse worms and lizards.

Legendary? I like your sense of humor Pat, and I appreciate the compliment but I'm not even close to that category. Maybe when I retire, can afford that 80K Bass boat and a nice pick up to pull it, and on the Bassmasters tour! You know as well as I do that there are plenty of other fishermen that post to this site and others that don't, been fishing this lake and other lakes and rivers in this area for decades, and have caught plenty of lunkers in their lifetime, they are the true legends. I can think of one that owns a Guide Service... Sorry, but I left my legend mark down in Southwest Texas back in the late eighties...
