Headed out to Lake Ki for an afternoon of fishing. Landed my first fish of the year on a black Wooly Booger in the first 20 minutes. Put him on the stringer and continued on my way. About 10 minutes later I look down and my stringer was empty. Somehow this fish pulled a Houdini and got away to fight another day. Paddled to the far side of the lake and anchored on one of my go to spots. Picked up a nice 12"er right away. The next 1/2 hour was dead so I paddled back to the highway and anchored in my other go to spot and limited out in about an hour. Nothing big, but a nice, Lake Ki, limit. The weather was nice, though a bit windy, which made paddling solo tricky at first but once I was able to get into a rhythm, all was good.
