Fist bass fishing trip of the year was a success. Got on the water around 3:30 on Friday afternoon. Between me and my buddy we caught 6 smallies in the first half hour. We fished till about 7:15. Our 5 biggest fish would have probably totaled around 14 lbs. There were baitfish schooled close to shore so we tied on some crankbaits that had similar colors and game on. Fish were mainly in 10-25 feet of water, water temp was 62-64 degrees. Biggest fish was my 3.5 lbr smallie. The Crankbait was so hot I caught a 17" cutthroat also. Looks like 2012 is gonna be a much better year for Sammamish then last year.

All in all, great day fishing. Can't wait to get out to Potholes in June!
