Got out to the lake at 4:30pm. I was in my new boat and had been doing a lot of fishing lately. I had been learning different ways to fish for bass. I was on the west shore area when I tried a panther- martin spinner close to some lily pads. Something slowly tugged on my line, thinking it was weeds I started to reel in. I soon realized I had a fish, a really big fish. Had to fight the monster for 5-6 min before I could get it to the surface. It turned out to be about a 5lb bass probably a female, so I released her to make more babys in the spring. I'm still kicking myself for not bringing my camera.....Thanks,Tom McG
