As promised...I headed down to my old stomping grounds to see what I could find. Fished a spinnerbait for the first 90 minutes and C&R'd 3 about a pound. Largest of the 3 was over a pound for sure, but I don't carry a scale. Headed to the east side of the lake where I know the bass bedded 25 years ago. And look....they still do. Found 4 fish over 3 lbs roaming around their beds with one being well over 5lbs. The water had seemed to clear out a bit so they were insanely spooky. I popped in a green pumpkin tube trying to be a subtle as possible and NONE of them would turn on the bait. The weather had cooled and the wind picked up contributing to the cooler water temps noted earlier. I did notice a lot of the slimy weeds starting to coat the bottom at that end of the lake. Later in the year, that will push the fish to the north and west ends off the first drops. This lake will get better in the next few weeks given some 70 degree air temps

BankBasser-The reason why you couldn't catch any, especially with the jig, is because Nate has been beating them to death!

I believe it. They are probably shy to anything in the water at this point. LOL
