I had some stuff to do down south today so I brought A few rigs for some bassin'. I've fished here before with little luck so I was happy with today's results. I circled the lake twice by foot. All the fish I caught were in the tick of it. I was basically punching for the bite most of the time. Thank god for braid! I felt an odd vibration and swung anyways. Fish on... an entire section of pads ripped away! I was like holly f... this is it... the state record bass... Oh, dreams... It was a 15-20 ib carp! I was pretty angry though it gave me a good 5 minute long fight w/ my 7'11' heavy Lamiglas rod bent in half.

Shortly after that I realized I was over due to test out the new Koppers Live Target Feild Mouse. I thought I sawl a bass peaking out of the pads so I cast way past it and walked the mouse right in front of that section. Nothing. I did it again and paused it right where I guessed she was. She darted out and CREAMED IT! I would of lost that fish w/ out braid, no doubt. She gave me a great fight. Scaled her @ 5.1. though my scale has been acting funny. Picking up a new battery soon. My 2nd biggest of the day scaled @ 1.3. haha. She was probably more like 3 to 3.8 ib ish. Got a few more not so scale or picture worthy. Fun day.

Man I was just there today and didnt catch anything . I used a lot of stuff and nothing . Did manage to pull in a few branches . Is this lake better in the morning that late afternoon ? And I also think people were scarin the fish by feedin the ducks .. It says don't feed the ducks on a fat sign...

I've been watching this lake all last year... It is my MUST FISH lake very soon. I am not sure what to expect. There are some REALLY nice fish between your's and Elijah's and some others, and in quantity. The lake has all it's history of toxicity, etc. Obviously I don't keep/eat bass, but there is a lot of history of Off Limits to the water, etc. I assume I can get my float tube in there? If I can get a day away without time restraints pulling me back to Seattle, I'll let you know. I've got a second tube like I said before. It is a quality tube that will keep you high above the water and easy to manauver. I'll let you know.

Nice job, Ryan!!! Good to see you making your way down the I-5 corridor. I heard that carp are strong fighters.
