I got an invite to fish with my buddy Craig Taylor of Sunnyside Bi Mart fame. W headed out to a series of ponds along the I 82 corridor to try for Largemouth Bass. Craig wanted to try some 4" Yama Senkos in Green/pumpkin while I jumped at the chanc eto field tedt my custom plastics on some fiesty pre spawn Largemouth bass. Craig tied into a nice bass not 3 minutes after exiting the jeep. But we had caught only two more bass over the next houror so. So I donned my camo neopreme waders when I noticed some decent bass cruising the inside weededge next to the bank. I was pitching my new 4.5" Smoke Snakehead worm on top of the milfoil weed tops and dropped it in to likely fish holding pockets. Man that really worked! It was I.V.G fishing or( Instant Visual Gratification) as I watched aggressive bass swirl and inhale my finesse worm! Craig was my spotter and we managed to catch 12 nice bass in two hours. Thanks again bro for a great time. Anyone want give these worms a try, feel free to contact me. Jiggy

Backwater. I used both a 1/16th oz. black jighead (pictured) and a Gamakatsu #1 dropshot hook rigged weedless/Texas style to drag that worm over the weed mats and drop it into shaded pockets in the milfoil. Those Bass were relating to the shade between the bank the milfoil on the inside weededge. The slow drop of a weightless worm was a huge trigger for the bass hanging in the shade. We made a slow day into a productive one by adapting to the tough, bright, sunny conditions. I'm going after big bull bluegill this weekend. Jiggy

Jiggy, do you miss or loose many fish while using small jig hooks? That fish is barely skin hooked. Just curious cause the gap of the hook looks to place the point of the hook on the same plain as the jig eye. Was wondering if that effected hook up/set ratio? Good times!
