I get a text from my wife 8:00 this morning at work asking me if I wanted to go fishing up at Eloika after work, are you kidding me, man, do I have a great wife or what! Sounded like a date to me so after work up to Eloika we went. Got in the water just before 6 pm so we had a couple hours of good quality fishing! The weather was perfect, water was like glass, only 5 other boats out there, a perfect evening for fishing. The wife got the goose egg this time, I ended up with 7 in the boat but nothing over 3 lbs, all about the size I'm holding in the pic. They were under the docks and in the lillies, used a 8" Zoom lizard and black & blue jig n craw and they were fiesty! I have noticed how nice and healthy the fish look this year compared to the past couple of years. A great evening of fishing!
