Fished a local club tournament for one day. We started at Big Dune and boated three bass. Then we tried some other dunes with similar features but didn't find any takers. We moved to the Goose Island areas to target smallmouth - lost one giant, and boated a nice 2.5 pounder 10 minutes before weigh-in. So, we each weighed two fish. We weren't in the money, but were 400% better than the week before. No pattern existed....jigs, Senkos, and drop shot worked for us.
