We fished the Potholes Open this year. In two days of fishing, we landed one largemouth. We learned that our approach was not always going to work. Our approach was to go to spots we knew held fish much of the rest of the year, and if we didn't find them, fan out from those spots and change tactics as required. That didn't get us very far. We had a great time fishing, seeing all the competitors, and of course some of the best April weather on Potholes in a long time. We also shared camp with some great friends and hope to do so again. We had no fish worth bragging about, so the attached picture reflects the comfortable Saturday evening.
