so after getting my Springer on the Columbia I wanted to give Offut Lake a try so made arrangements to get a cabin Sat. night so I could get an early morning start since I had to be back to go see Damn Yankees with the wife ( yes, I would rather be fishing but must keep her happy!) Very nice people there and what a beautiful lake! they rent electric boats for those who are passing thru and didn't bring their own. Started my troll around 6:30am and did bring my fishing buddy so I could graph the lake and had 2 good takes but no fish. did see a nice one caught off the dock but I returned at 10am they said an otter was grabbing the fish as they were catching them. If it's not seals then it's otters! anyway, nice lake, nice people and I will be back!
