Since my local lake was blown out after all the rain, and after reading all the good reports from riffe, I decided to give it a try. I left my house around 0600 expecting to get there no later than 0800. My hopes were dashed when an intersection I needed was closed. I thought about saying "heck with it" and go home, but I consulted the map and found a way around. An hour added to the trip, and I arrived at the dam off US 12 at 9.

I rigged up a slip bobber with an 8' leader tipped with worm and gulp corn and fished off the rocks. I had my limit of 12" silvers in 1.5 hours. Would have been sooner but I lost a few and missed a ton. People seemed to be doing pretty well fishing like me, or using shrimp, or casting small spoons. It was definitely fun and I'll be back.

Thanks to everyone that posted reports on Riffe, it helped a TON!

You should try Alder as long as you have to drive by it to get to Riffe. The limit there is 10, which makes the drive from Enumclaw more worthwhile.

At Alder Park you can't fish off the dock, but a lot of guys walk out on the little peninsula on the left side of the docks and to the right side shore. Rocky Point has plenty of shore room. Went trolling this past Tuesday, 24th. and didn't get one bite! Plenty of Humminbird shows, but no hungery fish, yet.
