Trolled the entire lake without so much as nibble. On the way back to the boat launch seen a small one jump. So I stopped and threw a small gold spinner at it. Caught about 25 rainbows in the next hour. All of them were between 5 and 8 inches long. Threw all of them back. Did catch one that measured 13", threw him back to. It was still a little chilly and the water was 41.2 degrees, hopefully the bite will turn on this weekend with some warmer weather.

That's funny, I ran into the same scenario a couple seasons ago: tons of small rainbows in the shallows around the launch. Same thing with me, started casting spinners & just killed em. It has to be the warmer water there as apposed to the ice water the rest the lake has this time of year.
