After getting skunked at Blackmans for the las 3 weeks.. and that morning too....Tanner and I decided it was time to give Goodwin a shot. 10 minutes out of the launch going left I hooked into a pretty nice trout.. took line and was a pretty good fight but lost him..About 15 minutes later, just after the turn at the end of the lake..Tanner got what we bolth thought was a snag.... turned out it wasn't.. it was the biggest trout I have ever seen caught! 10 minutes later another one.. little smaller though.... then another about 30 min. later... that one got away also fishing a herring dodger and a worm...good-bye Blackmans....Hello Goodwin!

Nice fish! Is the bottom in the picture a cut throat?

I think what your seeing is blood near where the cutthroat mark on the lower jaw, would be. The jaw of a cutthroat extends beyond the eye of the fish. This fish does not have that feature.
