This...my brothers, IS the time I have been waiting for! I got a chance to fish with my bro Casey Evans today on an I 82 pond that don't get too much pressure. Normally, I'll forgo low Lunar Table rating of a 27, but todays awesome weather conditions trumped the solunar tables. After a rather tenuous bike ride, Casey and I arrived at our pond (He took me, so...I'll have to ask him to reveal which pond.)Only to find the water temps still slightly cold @ 51 degrees. That was until I found some water temps that tipped 55 degrees,(checked with an aquarium thermometer.) What transpired in the next 2 hours was some hella fast and furious Crappie action! I began by tossing a 3" Stone Dragun jig in smoke/chartruse tail on a 1/16th oz. jighead, (black with a yellow eye.)Them crappie were all over it, some of them flashing as they inhaled it right in front of me! Another hot bait was my new Dragun Nymph "Grande" two tone olive/pearl belly with a chatruse tail. The Crappie were stacked in a rather small area and they were holding at least 8 feet deep. We had to tightline our jigs with a rapid twitch and at times add a 2 foot hop. Almost every fuish took it on the drop. We had forgoten our slipbobbers, so fishing more than 6 feet down was out of the question. The final count was 53 crappie to 10" (29 kept), 4 bass to 2 pounds and a small channel catfish. Fishing with prototypes is an absolute blast! Can't wait to get out again. Field testing these lures is so much fun! Jiggy

When I was fishing for squids, one man told me about his crappies fishing stories in Yakima. I would like to try once this weekend. I have searched how to catch crappies in internet but don't know where to go in Yakima. Would anyone like to share your secondary secret spot for crappies fishing? my email: baoan78@hotmail.com.
