Spent the with my lovely wife on Mayfield. Wasnt expecting much action and wasnt disapointed. 1st time on Mayfield for her. We've been to the cabin. Shes always cooked and watched out the window. So getting her back in the flow of chuckin and reeling was new again to her. The lake was full pool. Water temps were 48 degrees most of the day. Saw a bunch of trout. One actually followed my shallow invader to the boat. Just a tad longer than the 10" bait. Went into winston cove saw some muskies actually rolling. Pikie minnows everywhere so the bait fish are up as were the muskies. But as usual about an hour too late for us. I heard from my pal that a gent got, netted and released a tiger about 3 ft long. Its early for Mayfield but the fish gotta eat. Lots of trouters on the water but they didnt have much action either. Maybe next weekend? IDK. No fish caught but a great day to hang with the Mrs..which is sometimes better than anything else. See ya, Todd
