I got a chanch to hit Myron Lake with my buddy Roger a.k.a Paccbassman from Yakima. It was the perfect opportunity to try out my new Stone Dragun Nymph jigs for those Myron brood stock trout and jumbo trout. We hiked down to the trash can hole and began fan casting the bank. It wasn't long before I tied into to a spunky 14" jumbo trout and released it. What transpired on my nest cast will forever be seared into my memory... A huge fish tatered my Smoke/gold Stone Dragun jig on the drop 20 feet from shore. My 5'6" Okuma ultra lite bent over double on the hook set and Rog scrambled for the net. That fish was huge...and I musceled her 10 feet from the bank. She was nearly 30" long and chrome as could be. Both Rog and I were entertaining thoughts of a fishing video and Bar-B-Que trout steaks when as luck would have it, she wrapped me around the only branch around and broke me off! Well, we decided to launch my boat and do some trolling. Hand tied Gold spinners tipped with artificial custom made helgramite nymphs boated 5 jumbo tripoids in an hour.We miised probably 20 hits too! The photo is of a jumbo perch we caught tight lining a jiggy nymph jig. After the photo she was let go to spawn. That perch was over 12". Had a great time with Roger. We gotta do it again! Jiggy
