A friend and I went to Tapps. Nothing in the morning. Tried shallow and deep. Finally went south of Snag Island. Noticed almost a 5 degree increase in water temperature. That was the difference. There we caught 7 smallies between 1 1/2 and 3 lbs, fishing lipless crankbaits and spinnerbaits.
