I've been working in Othello the past few weeks and I couldn't leave without trying a lake or two. Lake Soda is suprisingly deep for it's size, over 115ft in places then jumping to 8ft within a matter of seconds which made it interesting motoring around for the first time.. I ran bottom walkers with worm harnesses in depths of 20-40ft at the north end, pitched grubs twards the bank, even motored around some deep diver rapalas and a set of gang troll sunflashers with wedding rings for trout... All I could come up with was a decent Smallmouth Bass. Water temp was an average 43 degrees and clarity was somewhat cloudy. I'm more of a Salmon and Trout guy but it was fun to try a new lake.
