Mountain is warming up--have had luck with a size 14 or 16 olive-bodied paradun toward evening--mostly smaller cutts and silvers, but an occasional 12" cutt. I am yet to catch a rainbow out of this lake. Powerbait off the bottom nets a couple of bites an hour. Have watched fish sipping chironomids, but am not fluent enough with a nymph to get them at their own game: the only couple I've kept had nothing but wriggly little nymphs in them. A good way to pass the time, but the mainland lakes I've been fishing are pumping out 15- and 16-inch bows and cutts.
