Well Guys, the Bass fishing has only gotten better during the recent warm weather. My good buddy Joe Cortez and I have been catching some pretty big bass so far this spring on the I82 ponds near Zillah. I recently hooked Joe up with some "Jiggy Nymphs" to field test for me and man has he scored some nice fish with them! Reuben Cortez and Joe hit some bass over 17" on one of the I 82 ponds by tossing these smallish Nymphs in my custom Cajun/Red flake color on a 1/32nd oz jighead. So far my biggest largie has been around four pounds(released)on a Dragun bug jig in Swamp/green/purple flake with a chartruse tail. These bass are keying on relatively small forage like baby channel catfish and Damsel nymphs. The "Jiggy Nymph" of my own design mimics this forage perfectly in size, shape and color. It's a relatively small bait you can see in the picture below, (though not clearly). Joe also had bigger bass break him off today! Good job brother Joe and Rueben! Now to field testing my newly molded Rock Dragun and Stone Dragun Nymphs. Hope to have another big bass report on Wedsday! Tight lines.Jiggy

You have been posting reports with better catches every time! Are you gonna start selling some of your little jigs? I know there are a few lakes on the West side that I would use them in! BTW, nice fish!

Is the green goo that is on the jig head and Big Bass's lips, the scent being used or algae type stuff your fishing in? Is your biggest bass to date, the first picture. That looks to possibly go 4lb.

Neat little ring tension clip, that is attached to the jig head. Does that ever open up, even a little, during a tug of war with the large bass your fighting?

Nice! And to Rocky and anyone interested:

Fish and wildlife has maps. they run North to south starting at the gap south of Yakima.

wdfw.wa.gov/publications/00258/wdfw00258.pdf Big study on what is in the lakes.
