Well, there are fish in silver lake. Stopped by on my way to whererever I was going. Baited up, and as soon as I got there wind was winding and rain started raining. First cast, before it had a chance to soak rod took off with a nice big triploid. Ran about 21 inches on 4 pound test, but it was PLUMP like a grilled stuffed burrito. Caught it, rebaited and threw it out. By this time the wind got windier so I cleaned my fish and decided it was time to move on. Silver lake gets windy! Rain is okay with me, but with the wind, miserable. All in all, a very productive ten minute trip. As long as you can tell the difference between the wind and a fish, I think the odds are in your favor.
